New River Valley REALTOR® Jim Dunlea has been assisting home buyers and sellers in Montgomery and Pulaski county since 2018. Jim was raised in the metropolitan area of Rockford, Illinois, and came to the New River Valley in 2004. Jim quickly fell in love with the area because of its natural beauty, outdoor recreational opportunities, and the mild mid-Atlantic weather. For most of Jim’s work career he has worked as a Sales Engineer for a large motion control company, assisting customer with choosing company products, helping to negotiating sales contracts, and issuing quotes. Jim recently worked as a Product Design Engineer, designing and supporting several different products. Jim also has construction background, having the opportunity to design and build a couple of additions to his own home. These life skill experiences were a great backdrop to his Real Estate career. Jim has always had an interest in Real Estate, so when he made the decision to move to a different career, Real Estate made perfect sense. Jim loves working with people. He has the “heart of a teacher”. Buying or selling real estate can be a complicated process. To make the process easier, Jim makes sure his clients thoroughly understand the process so that they can make the decisions that are best for them. Jim understands the importance of “being there” for his clients and strives to keep the lines of communications open. Jim particularly likes to work with First Time Homebuyers – helping them through the process of purchasing their first home. In his spare time, he does volunteer work with his local church, plays keyboard in the church worship band, and loves to go camping with his wife Cindy and Labrador Retriever Sadie.
